Film production task 5

what are film production values? refer to examples

The film production can be addressed as the 'quality' of the film, famous or highly rated films with a very high budget will most likely have a high production value. Some films are deliberately have cheap production values because of the genre style just as classical films so the production value compared to the modernized world will be much cheaper. When going to cinema nowadays a film with a high production value will be expected. Films with a high production value are usually bigger and better. As a film producer it is vital to make films with a high production value, this is expected as the producer will think the film is be very attractive.

Explain why these are important to both producers and audiences

High production values are important for the audiences viewing their film because it will mean that the film is much more attractive, quality wise and the audiences will immediately think the narrative and everything else will fall into place. The production value is also important to the audience because the style of genre could also refer to the quality, if the quality isn't good then the audience will lose some sort of interest in the film that they are viewing. The producer's film production value is vital to the success of their film, if the production style doesn't meet the requirements then they'll lose some sort of interest in the film.

Is there a difference between British film production values and American film production values?

British film industries have a whole stereotypical view of film compared to American films. For example, when people all over the world who have a vague understanding of the complexity of the difference between British and American film industries usually think of British films to be filled with smart clothing, class, and sophisticated character film roles. Actor's with specific and polite narratives that capture this posh, old fashioned idea of 'Britishness'.
Secondly, when referring to American film production, the vague understatement would be the idea of big famous stars, holly wood block busters and actor's with immense, action packed comedy films. However, when going further into detail, the ideals and the development of production can be described in all sorts of different ways and by distribution such as big companies (Warner Bros) and other personally known independent film institutions.

Film production company

What is a film production company? Mind map with examples.

A film production is a production which can be broken down through independent film, a collaboration and mainstream film. It is a company which producers film through strong analytically scene production. They edit and fix up any issues technically with the film to make sure that the effects, narrative and the film as a whole is exactly how it is supposed to be.

Independent film production - A film production producing films completely outside the major filming studios/industry. Made by independent filming institutions, they make films without the help/collaboration of film industries like 20th Century fox or Hollywood films.

RAW (Independent)- RAW is full service, video production and distribution agency based in central London. Their goal is to inspire and to engage their target audiences with outstanding video content (Based in the UK).

Archer's Mark(Independent)- Archer's mark is a independent film production company that is based in Shore-ditch East London. Its a film production company with a strong cross over of film and TV departments. They produce and innovate authored work with wide commercial appeals.

Mainstream Hollywood, UK/ US Collaboration and independent film

 Snakes on a plane:
Mainstream Hollywood -  Snakes on a plane is film that is based as thriller and action. Some of the quotes consists of the exaggerated points to intrigue. ''They are the deadliest creature on earth'', '' They have just been unleashed'' and ''They attack without warning''. From the trailer we have also learned that it would bring the idea that the scene was set because we saw the snakes come out of a duct. The scene is set on a plane with a terrible, gloomy and frightening climate.  The intensive non-diegetic sounds supports the idea that its a action/thriller.

The full Montey:
US/UK collaboration - The full Montey seems to be humorous, with optimistic non-diegetic music, the cross over between British/American life styles, accents and food they eat. The cross over also consists of the the climate, through the rainy life style in the British country side compared to the big buildings economic stability with the American part of the scene. The American values consists of the narrative, their dream .

Withnail and I:
Independent film- The withnail and I seems to be a unique in its own way to be un-engaged with the non-diegetic sound portrayed,
